About Jonathan

Strategic. Adaptable. Developer.

Jonathan Mickelson has worked for over 20 years as the CTO of a software company he co-founded in the 90’s. Jonathan put his degree on hold to start his business and learned much in the process. He is excited to learn even more principles of leadership while finishing his degree in Leadership Studies.

Jonathan is a proud husband and father to a loving family, whose support will help him balance work, family, and study. He enjoys spending time with his wife (an amazing elementary school teacher) and both playing and raising his two sons. In those few spare moments of free time, he loves studying astronomy, spaceflight, or reading a book.

While Jonathan’s leadership efforts have been focused on his company, he has always been passionate about helping others. His proudest leadership moment is when he refocused his company on new revenue streams, allowing the company to survive the ’08 downturn without downsizing. His favorite leadership quality is listening as well as drawing others into the process of seeking solutions.
